All of this is freeware, and legal to download, so don't think I'm going to drag you all down with me... yet.... Intel Application Accelerator- Simply put, something I mentioned in another post of mine, and it simply uncaps several speed limitations on any computer running an Intel chip, like the Pentium 4, celeron, and the like. Trust me, without it, I wouldn't be using the Windows Millenium Edition computer I'm writing this on right now, while my laptop is out of commision... downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=663

The GIMP- Hmm... how best to say this... try it out, if you like anything like photoshop and the like. It's what I'm using right now to get into my animation stuff. All kinds of cool filters, brushes, macros and the like for photos of any type. Keep in mind, though, that since I'm almost certain all of you are running Windows, that you have to download and install two files. The reason being, this was originally designed for Linux, so that it has one that updates Windows systems to prep it for GIMP, the other that install the program itself (i.e. The file I have to download first is called "gtk+-2.8.9-setup-1", and the one to install GIMP is called "gimp-2.2.10-i586-setup"). It's kinda confusing, but I'm certain there are smart cookies here. Either way, if you can't find either file, feel free to PM me, and I'll try to send an email or IM with the files attached. www.gimp.org/Soundtrack for the night: Infected Mushroom (currently 'Blue Muppet')

Final one for the night... Blender- "Blender is the open source software for 3D modeling, animation, rendering, post-production, interactive creation and playback" (I got lazy and just copied the text straight from their website... lol). That's all it is... kinda like Maya, if you've ever seen the program's setup, but it's used for 3D stuff. www.blender3d.com/cms/Home.2.0.htmlSome pics that were made with it are here: www.blender3d.com/cms/Gallery.55.0.html

Terragen- A program used to create stunning 3D landscapes. There is both a free version (which, of course, has its limits) and a commercial-use version. Either way, it makes for awesome images. Do keep in mind that you are rendering though, so unless you have a computer designed or capable of such, you'll have to wait a few minutes for the final image to render, though you can make a lesser quality preview to test how it will look. www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/
